Thyme is a perennial plant belonging to the Lamiaceae family, which loves the sun and usually grows in barren soil. This plant, which grows between 15-40 cm in height, attracts attention with its leaves. The leaves are reciprocal, opposite to the next, oval, elliptical or egg-shaped, dark green in color and stemless or short-stalked. Thyme flowers are bell-shaped and open in pink, pinkish red, lavender or pinkish white tones.
The roots develop in the form of fringes, while the lower part of the stem is woody and the upper part is quite frequently forked. There are more than 220 species belonging to the genus Thymus. Most of these species grow naturally in the Mediterranean region as dwarf, spreading and small green bushes. The most well-known species of thyme is Thymus vulgaris, which, as its name suggests, means "common". This species grows mostly in rocky areas and in dry, coarse-grained soils.

Thyme is one of the most special herbs that nature offers us. As HC Spice, we offer you this unique herb in its highest quality. Our thyme is carefully collected from June to October, its shoots are cut and dried in sunny, airy places.
During this process, special care is taken not to exceed 35°C, so that the natural aroma and flavor of the thyme leaves are preserved. The thyme plant, which has a perennial shrub-like structure that can grow up to 50 cm, has small, spear-shaped or oval leaves. When you touch its leaves, a bitter lemon scent is released; this is the unique aroma that makes thyme thyme. The thyme plant blooms its small whitish pink or pale lavender flowers from May to August. These flowers are carried in a tight spiral connection head and offer a different visual with its two-lipped calyx.
